2bitfx is a visual effects company created by Rob Au.  For the most part it is a one man band.  But for independent projects (usually unpaid), 2bitfx brings together freelance artists from around the country to create wonderful low/no budget effects.


"Der Ostwind" has just about run out of steam in the short film circuit.  This is not to say that it doesn't have a continuing future.  Keep your eyes on the skies as you have yet to hear the last of Wolfgang Von Kellerman.  DVDs are still in the works and we have not forgotten our loyal fans.

In the form of short films, "Sheriff" (working title) is up and coming and I am very excited to continue in the short film category and hope it will be as well recieved as "Ostwind" was and continues to be.

Winner: Best Action/Adventure Film

"Der Ostwind" played at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival as part of it's short films program.  While we didn't win in our category, "Ostwind" went on iTunes as part of the festivals short film emphasis.  We spent several weeks on the top ten most downloaded shorts, reaching #2 just below Pixar's "For the Birds".  It was downloaded nearly 1000 times in it's first two weeks on iTunes.  While you can no longer view it for free on Sundances website you can use there sight to buy "Der Ostwind" from iTunes.
